Praying for the Harvest

Praying for the harvest should be on every Christians heart. Everyone has someone who needs to believe in Jesus. You can look at almost every family in the world and you will be lucky if you find 10 entire families who believe in God and his plan of salvation through Jesus.

When Christ was on earth He said that the fields were white unto harvest. He meant that there were a lot of lost souls and there needed to be more people to go and let them know about Him. Today there are twice as many lost souls and if you can not go and tell them about Jesus, you should be praying that God will send someone else to tell them.

It is God's intention that no one should perish. You are His hands and His mouth and He needs you to go out there and tell others. It is not up to the preacher to go out and tell them by himself. He is to teach the congregation so that they will know how to treat others. Others should see Christ in you so that they will want what you have. If you have a poor person come into your church, how do you treat them? Do you welcome them with open arms or do you send them away by avoiding them? You are to do whatever you can to help anyone in need if you can. Then you are to pray for them, remember to help them then pray for them. If a person is hungry, feed him before he listens to you tell him about Jesus.
