Being a Good Citizen and Kind Neighbor

Some may think if you are born in a country that you are a citizen of that country. But did you ever think what it means to be a good citizen in your community? To be a good citizen in your community, you must get involved in the activities of your community. In today's world, there are so many different communities in one large city that some are cities within the big city. Each may have its own government and you should know what the rules and regulations are for your area.

You may live at the edge of the community where it seems you are in the country, but you aren't and you may not be allowed to raise small livestock. Now, to be a good citizen, it is your duty to find out what the regulations are. If you are allowed to raise something like chickens, you may want to check with your neighbors to find if they object. Roosters crow at 5 a.m. and if you are a good citizen and your neighbors are close, you may not want to raise roosters. You may raise hens for eggs; if this is the case, you may want to share a few with your neighbors, making you a kind neighbor.

There is surely more to it than that, but you may want to search the Internet and find out what it takes to be a good citizen and kind neighbor. Helping others less fortunate than you can make you a good citizen and kind neighbor.
