Learn From Your Children

Children are the some of the greatest teacher in the world. To start with, they see the world through very innocent eyes. They dive blindly into things without thinking because they don't have any experience to fall back on. Their simple view of life gives us a new look at our own lives. They remind us that things are not always complicated, and often we let our cynicism rule our lives. Indeed, children are a gift from God. They allow you to explore the world around you in a new light. They teach us that there is a great deal of good in this world and in us.

All we need to do is look for it and appreciate it. Everyday is a new day filled with new adventures for a child, is should be the same for us. Just as we teach our children pride, we need to learn humility from them. We also need to remember that we need to be open to new things and to learn from our experiences. We need to soak up life the same way that children do. Children don't understand limits. Not theirs, or other peoples. They will try anything once. Parents on the other hand tend to be afraid before they are willing to try.

Don't be fenced in by imaginary boundaries. When we make mistakes children show us the meaning of forgiveness. They are quick to forgive and willing to overlook our flaws. How much fuller will our lives be if we see ourselves the way our children do. Most important of all, children love easily. They give love even when it is not deserved. As parents we should do two things. Love our children, and other people as easily as our children love us. Be worthy of the love our children give us. When we learn and remember the truths of children, we live a fuller, richer life.
