Inspirational Reflections

Prayer not only gives you a chance to communicate directly with God, it also gives you time for inspirational reflections. While you pray, God allows you to reflect on the meaning of life and how to walk a spiritual path. Some of the more common inspirational reflections involve prayers regarding the Trinity and baptism

When you pray to the Trinity, it is a great time for inspirational reflections. These prayers often take place during the Eucharist, or Holy Communion. During this time, wine or juice is symbolic of the blood of Christ, while the bread is his body. Through this communion, believers are realizing the many roles that God plays in their lives. God reveals himself in three forms as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As a Father, God is seen as the creator of all things, and reflection upon his divine creation is necessary. Jesus, the Son, symbolizes the God that walks among us as our friend. Finally, God works within us as the Holy Spirit, guiding and directing our lives.

Baptisms are also a common time for inspirational reflections. Water is a central feature of baptism as a person is cleansed of their sins becomes one with God. As the Bible says in Acts 2:38, "tying repentance and baptism together provides forgiveness of your sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit." Therefore, baptism is an incredible time for reflection. As you are baptized, you emerge as a person in Christ that has been renewed. Prayers at this time focus, once again, on this communion with God. Most pray that their inward faith is matched by their outward service. It is essential for prayers during these times to reflect upon the new life given by baptism and Christ.

Prayer is a perfect time to reflect on your life. However, inspirational reflections are encouraged every day. By simply noticing the beauty in the world, you are opening yourself up to more fully understanding God's plan.
